A dark day in computer land

My (the wife’s) laptop died a few days ago. Even though it always needed to be plugged in, and the wireless card was ass, I still can’t help but feel a little empty now that it’s gone.

I’m more than sure I was the cause of its demise. The plugged in cord snagged on my giant ass leg, causing ‘ol lappy to come smashing down hard on my 1″ thick carpet. The awesome crushing power of my carpet strikes again, rendering my once half-shitty laptop completely shitty.

Hats off folks, for this signals the end of a long era for me. Gone is the chance to surf the internet while on the shitter. Gone is my access to email while sitting in the backyard. Gone is the wonderful option of having a 4X CD burner, which always produced results without error. Gone is my option to play Phantasy Star online, while still having a full Desktop available to chat on.

Oh, just to add – The laptop was a Dell. Go figure.
